I met Faiza online through a Facebook group back in 2023 when I was deep into my PCE preparation journey. Like many internationally educated physios, I was overwhelmed and rushing to give the exam — after all, I had been studying for almost a year. But something told me to reach out to her, and I’m so glad I did.
From our very first conversation, it felt like I wasn’t just speaking to a teacher — I was talking to someone who truly listened. She asked about what I’d already covered, what I was struggling with, and what my expectations were. She didn’t sugarcoat anything — after doing a quick 20–30 minute readiness check, she straight up told me I wasn’t ready for the September exam. I needed that honesty. And she was right — I wasn’t ready. I took her advice, gave my exam in November instead, and I passed on my first attempt.
What really stood out during our study sessions was how flexible and supportive she was. I was working full-time, so we’d connect in the evenings after 8 p.m. She never made it feel like a burden — in fact, it felt like I was studying with a good friend who had my back. She gave me the right topics to focus on — no unnecessary content, no overwhelming piles of notes. Just what CAPR wants from you. That focus made a huge difference.
Her mentorship wasn’t just about teaching content — it was about building confidence. She guided me, kept me on track, and in the last few weeks before the exam, she helped me zone in on what really mattered. That kind of support, especially when you’re under pressure, is priceless.
Even after the written exam, I reached out for help with the OCE. At that time, she wasn’t officially offering an OCE course, but she still helped me prepare for both parts. She even did a mini mock with me and told me I was good to go so Igave my exam in June 2024. Again, she was right.
Now, I’m a Registered Physiotherapist working in Toronto, and I genuinely owe a big part of that success to her guidance and friendship. She’s not just a teacher — she’s someone who genuinely cares about your journey and will meet you where you are. If you’re looking for someone who will guide you with honesty, tailor the prep to your needs, and treat you like more than just another student, she’s the one.
Highly recommend her to anyone preparing for the PCE — you’ll gain more than just exam support; you’ll gain a mentor and a friend.

I am beyond grateful to share my heartfelt appreciation for Faiza, whose guidance and mentorship played a pivotal role in my journey toward becoming a licensed physiotherapist in Canada.
When I was preparing for the Physiotherapy Competency Exam (PCE), I enrolled in her one-on-one sessions, and that decision was one of the best I made. Her deep understanding of the exam structure, her ability to break down complex concepts into clear, digestible information, and her patient, encouraging approach gave me the clarity and confidence I needed to succeed. She doesn’t just teach—she connects, making every session productive, focused, and tailored to your personal strengths and weaknesses.
Later, when it was time to prepare for the OCE, she once again proved to be an incredible support system. Her mock exams were realistic and challenging, helping me to sharpen my clinical reasoning, improve my communication, and fine-tune my hands-on skills. Her feedback was always constructive, honest, and filled with practical advice. It’s clear that she pours her heart into her work and genuinely cares about the success of every student she mentors.
What sets her apart is not just her knowledge and teaching skills, but her dedication. She went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, answer my questions, and boost my confidence whenever I felt unsure. Her calm, methodical way of explaining concepts helped me understand even the trickiest topics with ease.
Thanks to her unwavering support and exceptional teaching, I was able to pass both the PCE and OCE in my first attempt. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone preparing for these exams—her mentorship is truly invaluable.
Thank you Faiza for being such an inspiring part of my professional journey. I wouldn’t have made it this far without you!

My Journey as a Foreign-Trained Physiotherapist: A Success Story
Moving to Canada as a foreign-trained physiotherapist came with many challenges. The Physiotherapy Competency Exam (PCE) was my first big hurdle. I struggled to adjust to the Canadian clinical practice guidelines and exam style, but with hard work and dedication, I passed the PCE on my very first attempt. This success gave me hope and confidence to keep going.
The next challenge was the Ontario Clinical Exam (OCE) — an even tougher test of my skills and knowledge. Despite my best efforts, I didn’t pass the OCE on my first try. It was a difficult moment that made me question my future in this profession.
That’s when my mentor, Faiza, stepped in. She patiently guided me through complex clinical scenarios and helped me understand the nuances of physiotherapy practice in Ontario. Her encouragement and detailed feedback made all the difference.
With Faiza’s support, I rebuilt my confidence and knowledge. The second time I took the Ontario Clinical Exam, I passed — a huge victory that felt like the start of a new chapter.
Today, as a licensed physiotherapist working in Canada, I’m deeply grateful to Faiza. Her mentorship turned my struggles into success, and her belief in me made all the difference.
Advice for Students Preparing for PCE and OCE
If you’re a foreign-trained physiotherapist preparing for these exams, here are a few tips from my experience:
Understand the Canadian context: Clinical guidelines and practice can differ from your home country. Take time to study Canadian resources and cases.
Practice clinical scenarios: The OCE tests your practical skills and decision-making. Mock exams and role plays can boost your confidence.
Find a mentor or study group: Guidance from someone who’s been through the process can be invaluable. Don’t hesitate to ask for help.
Be patient and persistent: It’s normal to face setbacks. Use feedback to improve rather than get discouraged.
Take care of yourself: Mental and physical health matter. Rest, exercise, and keep a positive mindset.
Remember, passing these exams is a journey — one step at a time. With the right support and mindset, you can succeed.
Good luck!

I enrolled in Faiza’s mentorship program for my PCE preparation, and I can confidently say it was absolutely worth it. The one-on-one sessions were not only engaging but also packed with valuable information. She helped me stay focused on the most important and exam-relevant content, saving time by avoiding less useful topics. The rapid-fire rounds during the final sessions were the perfect finishing touch. I’m truly grateful for her support, which played a key role in helping me pass the PCE on my first attempt.

Hello everyone! Myself Yesha Patel and here’s a glimpse of my success story of passing the PCE!
After failing my first attempt at the Physiotherapy Competency Exam, I felt defeated. But instead of giving up, I changed my approach—and that’s when I met Faiza, my mentor. Her guidance was a turning point. She helped me identify my weak areas, encouraged structured study, and gave me the confidence I had lost.
